HBO Ruins Me.

Last night, Jes sent me a text message saying that she couldn't believe the last new episode of Girls was about to air. I couldn't believe it either, since I had no idea it was the season finale (!!!!!!!!).

Just like that.

Without a call or even a text from Lena Dunham. What a bitch.

Jes and I agreed that this season was all over the place, and even though there were some great quotes, it was not what I wanted it to be. Where the hell did Jessa go? Why did Hannah spend that one random day (weekend?) at that guy's house and then never mentioned it again?

HOW LONG WILL HANNAH'S EAR BLEED?

I will say one last thing about Adam - I'm officially in his fan club. It might have something to do with this picture. Such a baller, you know?



In other HBO news, I started watching season one of The Newsroom for the third time over the weekend. Is it wrong to say that I'm slightly attracted to Jeff Daniels? I think it has to do with his character's personality on the show, because it's hard not to imagine him like this:



But now look at him - can you blame me?

  2. I haven't watched last night's Girls yet, but I had no idea it was the finale???! What the fuzz, Lena? Way to give a girl a heads up. And I agree- this season has been wacky. I feel like they were 10 different independent stories rather than ten episodes of the same season. The only thing that stayed constant was naked Hannah. Ugh. Also, JESSA? Girl where did you go?? I heard she was preggers in real life when they filmed this season, so they probably ran out of flowy geisha outfits to put her in and she just bailed.

    also.. NEWSROOOM !!!!!! Jeff Daniels, yes please. Actually, any guy on that show- yes please. Even Don.

  3. Every time I watch Newsroom I'm like WE CAN FIX THE BULLSHIT OF AMERICA PEOPLE! ITS TIME! LETS DO THIS. Flippin' Aaron Sorkin and his goddamned self always making me do shit. But seriously though. I love Newsroom and Jeff Daniels so bad. I can't wait for it to start again!

    granted, i havent seen last night episdoe yet (dont effing ruin it for me okay?)
    but last week? adam went right back in my creepy-mccreeper file. i was starting to like him and then he had to go back to his old skeezy ways. pretty sure he effed that girls innocent mind up haha

    im not a huge fan of jessa anyways, so whatever. idc that she kind of disappeared.

    shosh on the other hand? girl, come be my best friend, PLEASE.
    the one day i was real bored at work so i just googled lena dunham interveiws and watched millions of them. then watched a million zosia mamet interviews and it just made me love her more.

    now my plan for lunch is it track down the finale online and indulge.
    if something awesome happened (seriously. dont tell me yet) im sure ill be emailing you to talk about it.

    And Newsroom? Best show on TV that makes me feel smart. I love Mac. And now fast she talks.

  6. ok thank you for finally adoring adam as i do, seriously he rocks and is so sexy in a mysterious/creepy/lovey kind of way. and i totally agree with this season being all over the place, so many questions. i feel like last season it was the group as a whole and this season they focused on each individual more. i miss hannah and marnie scenes in the tub or dancing, you know? but obvs i still love the show! (havent watched last nights episode and had no idea it was the finale either!)

    and i watched like the first 4 episodes of the newsroom last year and then it went on hiatus for like a month so i forgot about it! any good? should i catch up??

  13. I will always love HBO for Sex and the City (please don't judge hahaha) and True Blood. I still can't convince my husband that the extra $20 a month for HBO and Showtime is worth it!! someday, someday I will get to see this Girls you talk of and Jeff Daniels in a non-idiotic role....someday
