My Week in Chelsea Handler Gifs

Thought I was hot shit for winning $30 at a casino Sunday night.

Monday morning text from work, despite having the day off.

Caught up on the VMAs Monday night.

SURPRISE! Got my period Tuesday morning...5 days early.

Spent Wednesday thinking it was Tuesday.

Went to yoga Thursday night instead of Chili's.

Whatever Wednesdays: Better Late Than Never

Oh, hi. Remember me?

This week's WW topic was completely last minute (and I take all the blame) because I forgot to send out the email on Sunday, like I should have. But since no one (not even Tiff) (or Shay) tweeted or emailed or texted or harassed me about it, I figured no one noticed.

Or maybe you all were silently judging me from behind your computers/phones. You bitches.

Moving on...this week's topic is your favorite memory from this summer. Let's face it, September is all but here, and I could not be more excited. It's my second favorite month of the year, after all. October being my favorite, of course.

Okkkaaayyy, I'll get to the friggin point.

My favorite memory from this summer was the first time I went to a spin class with Kelsey.

Yes, you read that correctly.

And while I spent the first class thinking, "This is it. This is where I'm going to die. In a room with black lights, next to Kelsey, who will probably blog about it. And in front of the instructor, who is a grown woman in pig tails. This is where I'm going to meet my maker..." I survived.

I told Kelsey that I really wanted to like spinning, and I do. So much, in fact, that I will be going three times a week from now on. And I'll be doing yoga on my off days.

What. The. Fuck. Happened. To. Me.

No need to answer that question!

Now for some housekeeping - as I mentioned in my email yesterday, Shay and I will be participating in the Blogtember challenge, therefore the WW topics for the month of September will be the Blogtember Wednesday topics. Even if you don't do the full challenge, definitely check out the topic for each Wednesday. You can do that by going here.

Guess who didn't cry on Tuesday for once?

Here we go Wednesday, here we go...

When asked about Aaron Rodgers.

When Thursday is my Friday.

After a 3 hour car ride Thursday night.

Friday morning. PTFO, New York. Sam & I are headed to Canada to see Mumford.

Check yo self.

Last week Whitney did this post - basically, it's a life report card. I loved the idea so much that I'm doing it myself. I also have been told that I don't reveal too many personal details on the blog, so maybe this will give you a better insight into who I am. Or, maybe this will make you think I'm crazy.

Whatever Wednesday: Morbid Edition

Boo, devil. Another Wednesday.

As for this week's topic, let me just say that death - my death - is the leading cause of all of my panic attacks. Ask Sam. She almost had to call 911 when we went to see Brokeback Mountain a few years ago. No, not because my main man, Jake Gyllenhaal, was playing catcher. Because I had one tiny thought about dying, and I freakin lost it in the movie theater.

But the best way to get over your fears is to face them, right? So, here we go...

Undated photo of Maeve sent to male prospects in New York City.

Dawson, Maeve E., Middle of the Ocean: Maeve E. Dawson, 26, died on April 15, 1912 when the RMS Titanic hit an iceberg in the Atlantic Ocean. Born in 1886 in Southhampton, UK, Maeve was the eldest daughter of Frank and Georgette Dawson, both natives of the area. Maeve was worked as teacher in Southhampton and was headed to New York to fulfill her lifelong dream of being a rich man's wife. Maeve suffered from chronic bitchface, but was described as friendly once you got to know her. She enjoyed reading, spending time with kittens, and drinking by herself.

Maeve is survived by her parents and her younger sister, Felicia. Maeve's younger brother, Jack, was a fellow passenger on the Titanic and tragically lost his life as well. It should be noted that despite the fact that Maeve is deceased, she is still pissed that Jack's new girlfriend, Rose, let go. A small memorial service will be held at the Dawson home on April 21st.  BYOB.

Oh, you guys didn't know that I died on the Titanic in a past life? Well, now you do.

My Week in Real Housewives of Orange County Gifs

Woke up Monday morning ready to tackle the week.

Had some Monday drinks with Mills after bocce.

Found out some interesting news on Tuesday.

Spent Tuesday afternoon making small talk in a group text.

Had to spend Wednesday morning/afternoon remembering to breathe.

Extremely grateful for endorphins after spin on Wednesday nights.

Definitely needed some girl time with Mills on Thursday.

I always swear off drinking after a rough Thursday night.

But I'm back in the game by the 5 o'clock whistle on Friday.

Whatever Wednesdays: TV IS MY LIFE.

'ello, Sausages!

You know what I love coming home to? No, not a husband. I love coming home to a DVR full of shows and nothing else to do but watch them. And when my DVR isn't full, I spend some quality TV time with my iPad. Really exciting things happening at my house, let me tell ya.

With that said, I present to you my top 5 favorite TV shows. This was NOT easy.
(and it turned out to be an ode to HBO and AMC)

1.  The Newsroom
If you're not watching this show, you're doing it wrong. Let me say that I'm a certified news junkie, so I might be a little biased when it comes to this show. It's about a fictional news station, but the stories they report on actually happened. It's only halfway through the second season, so catch up!

2. The Walking Dead
Never in a million years did I expect to love this show as much as I do. I remember seeing previews for the first season and thinking it would be a cool thing to watch since it was around Halloween. "A cool thing to watch" is an understatement. It's better than any zombie movie ever made.

3. Vice
In yesterday's post I mentioned that I'm passionate about learning. This show? This show will teach you a thing or two about the world. Educate yourself. Watch this.

4. Sex & The City
So many of you ladies have told me that you've never watched this show. You know what? I feel bad for you, I really do. You're missing out. Stop being prudes and binge watch all the seasons and the first movie ...forget the second movie exists. That's what I do.

5. Mad Men
Speaking of binge watching shows, I watched 5 seasons of Mad Men in 2 months. I'm not proud of it. Okay, maybe a little bit. I don't want to talk about next season being the last.

(FYI: A few runners up included Friday Night Lights, Girls, and Dateline. Yes, Dateline.)

Make sure you link up, you Bachelorette lovin' fools!

Whatever Wednesdays: Serious Stuff Edition

First and foremost, I would like to thank Kali for this week's topic! And I'm happy that it's another serious topic, but I won't be happy if people don't take it seriously. Ya got that? Okay. Moving on.

So, the topic this week is something or someone we take for granted. I could say that I take my shoe size for granted ...not too many girls wear a size 10, so there's usually a lot of shoes to choose from.

But that's not what I'm here to talk about.

Let me preface this by saying, I've been trying incredibly hard not to take anything for granted. But there is one thing that I've taken for granted most of my life, and that's my family.

Me and the parents.

Me and the brothers.

I have amazing parents, you know? Amazing. And two brothers who would do pretty much anything for me - well, besides beat up guys for me. I think out of the three of us, I'm the most aggressive, so I've been able to hold my own when it comes to loser ex-boyfriends.

I texted Shay yesterday and told her that I was having a hard time writing this topic. Who wants to admit that they take their family for granted? Not me. I'm working on it.

Don't forget to head over to Shay's place to link up!
